Salary Range: $20.16/hour as per Schedule “A”
Starting Date: May 4, 2026

Responsibilities

  1. Main responsibility will be to assist the Building Department with administrative duties:
  • Booking Building Inspections
  • ​​​​​​​Input data for processing building permits
  • Filing
  • Directing telephone calls to appropriate staff
  • Responds to staff and public inquiries
  • Other related duties associated with Building & Zoning
  1. Issue and track water exemption permits for the Engineering Department
  2. Replace vacationing clerical staff

Qualifications

  • Minimum grade 12 and must be returning to a post-secondary school 
  • Proficient computer knowledge and skills
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Working Conditions
  • Usual public office conditions; subject to frequent telephone and staff interruptions
  • Regular office hours, 35 hours per week Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm
