PART-TIME “ASSISTANT INSTRUCTOR” - AQUATICS
Reporting to: Supervisor of Aquatics and Recreation Programs

Salary Range: $17.19 - $17.72 as per Schedule "A"
Starting Date: As soon as possible

Responsibilities
- Assists in the instruction Lifesaving Society Swim programs (Preschool, Parent and tot, Youth and Adult) programs.
- Assists the Instructor as directed, performing duties, such as, but not limited to:
- Assist the instructor in the delivery of swim lessons,
- Assists in evaluating candidates,
- Assists with questions/concerns from parents.
- Qualifications must remain current at all times (within two years of certification date).
- Performs other duties as assigned from time to time.
- Help with the set up deck and pool prior to Instruction periods and clean up after.
Qualifications
- Lifesaving Assistant Water Safety Instructor Certificate,
- Bronze Cross Certificate or National Lifeguard,
- Standard First Aid and CPR-C,
- Excellent physical condition,
- Ability to pleasantly deal with the public.
Hours of work not to exceed forty-eight (48) hours in a two week period in accordance with the C.U.P.E., Local 1146 - Inside/Part-time Unit collective agreement.
